Struggle is futile.

Leather straps bind your limbs tightly to the gurney. You hear a cool, sinister voice in your ear but are too dazed to make out words. Their breath is cold. The awful squeaking and scratching of wheels against floor echoes around you.

You’re in danger.

“Ashley Gonzalez…” you recognise your own name and feeling returns to your clammy face.

You manage to glance over.

“Yes, yes. That is you, isn’t it?”

You struggle to find words. Your captor squints gleefully at your attempts to speak.

“Ashley Gonzalez, how kind of you to donate yourself to me~” the Doctor chimes. They’ve wheeled you into a musty theatre. Bulbs flicker on and fill the vast, empty room with a quaint buzzing.

You’re wearing nothing but a white robe. The Doctor abruptly shoves something sharp into your bare arm and before you can articulate, you’re being administered a deep black fluid which makes your body grow cold to the touch. They grin beneath their mask, eyes shining brightly as they gingerly take a bone-saw from the tray beside them.

As a cloying sleepiness washes over you, you hear her say: “What a well behaved specimen~”

She presses her cold gloved fingers to your chest, pausing for a moment before she begins her ghoulish work.

“Please stay still.”

You’re just conscious enough to see what she does to you, but unable to do a thing about it. Your pulse quickens as the tool glimmers under the dim bulbs and makes its descent to your hapless flesh. There is a great deal of pain.

Sanguineous is simply delighted at what frail little screams you manage to force out.

“Oh, hush now, Ashley Gonzalez, my little doll~”

You taste blood. Black spots plague your vision and the buzzing grows so loud it deafens you to all but the Doctor’s dastardly voice.

“You’re a vital part of my work, you know. I don’t know what I’d do without this fresh heart of yours.”

She traces your jaw with her thumb, hushing you. You’re so close to death. You swear you see…tendrils..?

Something slippery curls almost lovingly around your thigh.

“…why, I wish I could play with you all night long~”
